City Trafik

The client

City Trafik mainly sells tobacco products, quality cigars and accessories related to smoking, but in addition to the classic trafik offer, it also operates as a drinks discount store and café with a wide range of coffee, soft drinks and spirits.

The task

Our client approached us to make his store, which operates as part of the "Nemzeti dohánybolt" network operating in Hungary, unique by keeping the mandatory elements prescribed by law. Part of our task was the design of the image, business portal, additional graphics, information and direction boards, leaflets, advertisements, and gift packaging.

Our solution

We started the work with a thorough survey of the site, walked around the area and found that there are six more tobacco shops nearby. So our client wants to stand out in a fairly saturated market. That is why we developed a special brand strategy.

The building used to be a manufacturing plant, so its simple form provided a great basis for ideas. Already during the survey, it was suggested that a large figure should be placed on the side or top of the store.

Starting from the basic idea, after the unique logo inscription, we continued the work with the design of a mascot figure. This recognizable, iconic figure was also featured on the store's website and advertisements.

Due to the legal requirement, we had to create graphics limiting the view on the windows of the store. We solved this with sprawling patterns, enlarged stickers and speech bubbles. These additional graphics also appear on packaging and advertisements.
